About the Adelaide Persian Arts Centre
The Adelaide Persian Arts Centre with support from the Persian Cultural Association of South Australia was officially founded in March of 2007. It was officially founded by its previous president, Navid Akrami, and current president of the Persian Cultural Association of South Australia, Dr. Fariba Behina.
The current president of Adelaide Persian Arts Centre is Pouria Aryan who is also teaching Tar in this institute beside of his engineering study at the University of Adelaide.
The institute's long term goals are:
- To provide a centre for talented Persians in adelaide in order to setup a community amongst persian performers
- To represent Adelaide in Persian Art throughout Australia
- To be an active presence in multicultural displays throughout Adelaide and the wider community
- To promote Persian arts throughout Adelaide
- To provide musical instruments for students and performers
The Persian Arts Centre acknowledges the dedicated support of the following people and groups:
- The work and effort of the public, the Persian Radio, and the Persian Television.
- The tireless commitment and support by Dr. Fariba Behnia, the president of the Persian Cultural Association of South Australia.
We also provide services for various musical instruments, calligraphy, and Persian dancing.
